Quirks of GiGi the Dachshund
Most mornings when I wake up, I look for a nice warm pair of slippers to put on. Nowadays, with our new family member GiGi in the house, I am almost certain to find that at least one, if not both of them is missing. She has a thing for slippers. Actually, she has a thing for anything stuffed. My husband brought home what he thought would be a "GiGi proof" toy and she detroyed it in about 15 minutes. First she ripped a hole in it and then proceeded to methodically de-stuff it, followed by the removal of the squeaker which was imbedded in one end. Aside from that, she really is a sweet, lovable little Dachshund.
Even now I am missing one of my slippers. Where or where could it be? It's likely to resurface after awhile, a little bit more tattered than before. I think she drags them under my bed to "play" with them. Can doggies be serial killers? Should I be alarmed by this behavior? Is there anything the beloved "Dog Whisperer" could do? Is this a cry for help?
Stay tuned for more reports of whacky GiGi behavior.
